Complete stadium design – Summer 2018
Baseball Stadium
With an enrollment of more than 38,000 students, Kennesaw State University relies on athletics to provide a common
connection for students, alumni, donors, and friends to support the Owls. Fans from across Owl Nation show their pride
and what it means to be an Owl when rallying together at intercollegiate competitions throughout the year.
Baseball at Kennesaw State is one of the oldest and most successful programs in the University’s history. Over the
years, some of the most memorable moments for our athletic department have come from the baseball program, including
numerous conference titles and national championships at the NAIA and NCAA D-II levels, and a run to the NCAA Division
I Super Regionals in 2014.
However, it takes more than the raw talent of coaches and athletes to achieve such a record of accomplishment.
To be competitive regionally and nationally, we must enhance the quality of our facilities while planning for growth
and exceeding our fans’ expectations. KSU has a vision to provide our student-athletes, donors, and fans with a
state-of-the-art competitive facility and outstanding game-day experience for our Baseball Owls.
With private support, the Kennesaw State Department of Athletics will lead a comprehensive renovation, creating a
modern venue on the current site of Stillwell Stadium. Built in the late 1980’s, Stillwell Stadium provided years
of service for KSU’s student-athletes and fans. However, after three decades of use, the facility has become outdated,
and no longer meets the needs of our student-athletes and patrons.
The new baseball stadium on the Kennesaw campus will provide Owl Nation with a first-class facility. A cutting edge,
artificial turf playing surface will be safer and more consistent for the players. Expanded capacity, premium seating
options, and upgraded amenities will improve the overall fan experience. Much needed structural and visual improvements
to the stadium will help with recruiting, and continue to demonstrate KSU’s commitment to Building Champions.
With your support, this project will allow our team to continue to compete at the highest level, further demonstrating
Kennesaw State’s commitment to enhancing the game day experience of our student body, student-athletes, and fans.
Your investment in our program and the new stadium will help continue to make baseball at KSU a first-class experience that student-athletes, coaches, fans, and the university community will enjoy for years to come.

A renovation of the facility will
- Enhance the daily experience of the student-athletes
- Provide a safer playing service (student-athlete welfare)
- Address current ADA and egress challenges
- Provide amenities that the facility, in its current state, cannot create appropriate space for media and other game day operations
- Generate a much-needed improvement to the facility’s visual presentation
- Expand patron seating to a capacity that is suitable for a collegiate baseball program - and will provide guests with a richer, safer experience
- Allow greater revenue opportunities (premium seating/suites)
- Provide KSU greater opportunities to generate revenue - and make a more positive impression on potential students/recruits/faculty/staff
